National Night Out  August 3, 2010

The Wolfforth Police Department joined with area Emergency Services to coordinate participation in the 2010 National Night Out.  Informational booths were set up to educate visitors on various topics concerning safety and awareness.  Food and refreshments were also provided.  Target is a national sponsor for the event.  The local Target stores sent volunteers that set up a booth in which they had fun activities and toys for the kids.  Last year the event was held in October along with many other Texas Communities.  This year the decision was made to participate during the August National Night Out event after the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office asked to hold the event at Patterson Park In Wolfforth.
